What experience do you have in the cosmetic industry?
I was a Mary Kay consultant for a year. I took my first certified makeup class with celebrity make-up artist Shannon Thompson writer of the book “Just Colored Dirt” base in Philadelphia. I am about to graduate with my masters degree in makeup Artistry from QC makeup academy.
Also, currently enrolled in the Lancaster School of Cosmetology to start taking aesthetic classes in September to become an Esthetician.
What gave you the inspiration and idea to start your company?
Since I was a little girl I always wanted to play with makeup and hair, and always dreamed of owning my own shop. But after I got out of high school, I got married and decide to put my dreams on hold and be a full-time stay at home mom.
However, the passion was still burning inside of me, so I start searching around to find a way I can still do something within the beauty industry from home. That’s when I stumbled upon Mary Kay so I decide to join and start selling cosmetics from home.

After 6-months of selling for Mary Kay I realized I can do this as a business, not to sell products but to help women feel and look beautiful one lipstick at a time. It still was not enough, so I started watching makeup tutorials on YouTube. After a couple of months, I decided to start my own YouTube channel although I was very scared to be in front of a camera. But I did it anyway and have been shooting ever since.
How many years have you been in business?

What is the best makeup tip that you can offer our readers?
Tip 1#: Best makeup tips I’ve used all the time to prevent my mascara from being dry and clumpy. I add a few drops of coconut oil in the tube and shake it very well. That’s going to serve 2 purposes, hydrating your lashes and giving them a healthy glow.
Tips #2: I use extra virgin organic coconut oil to remove my makeup at the end of the day before i wash my face. Because, coconut oil is an anti-bacterial oil and it helps remove impurities and leave your skin very smooth and healthy.
